On the Bench Press, many people wonder where they should touch the bar. ✅As a general rule, your forearms should be about perpendicular from the floor (from the side). 👉This will help keep the barbell directly over your elbows for maximum Power and Safety 💪 ❌If you touch too high on your chest, it will place unnecessary stress on your elbows. ❌If you touch too low, it will place unnecessary stress on your shoulders. You will also have to put in extra effort just to bring the barbell back over your shoulders. - This works for all grips- Normal Grip, Close Grip and Wide Grip Bench Press. If you use a wider grip, you will touch higher on your chest than a regular grip but the forearms should still be perpendicular from the side. - If you use a close grip, you will touch lower on your chest. I wanted to do something that hits the #upperchest without killing my shoulders. I used the #bosuball #bamboobar#kettlebellsandbands. This was easier on my elbows and shoulders. Plus it hits the chest nicely. We went as heavy as we could without ruining our forms. #chesttraining #bamboobarpress #chestpump
