- IMPROVEMENTS TO H&P 2018: (For those that do it for Fun!) As said before, the majority of the people running this race are here to have fun. We have made some updates to the event this year that makes it even more fun-runner (People that don't run or are beginners and not sure what to expect, or just here to have fun) friendly. - Below lists the additions we have made to the course this year for making it more "User-Friendly": - The entire course is 5 Miles Long. For those that don't want to run the full distance, we have built in "Short cuts". The course is all one price, so if you are feeling good that day and want to run the whole thing, Go for it! But, if you want to run a shorter distance, that option is available for you twice throughout the course.There will still be plenty of obstacles for you to try with the short cuts. FYI, the first shortcut bypasses mainly just running. - We have added 4 Rest Stations along the way. - One at about every Mile. We will have different snacks and hydration options for you at each one. For example, there will be bananas and electrolyte shots, protein bars, oranges, and even Popsicle's. Feel free to hangout for as long as you need to rejuvenate. Remember: This is NOT a Race, Unless you signed up for the competition wave. - There will be three DJ's at this event Total! 2 of which will be along the course, encouraging you on! Blasting pump up and fun music as you take on this course! -There will be 2 interactive-photo stations on the course. We will have a professional photographer there the whole day taking pictures of everyone that utilizes it. Pull your crew aside for an awesome picture (Twice). Along with the photographer previously mentioned, we will have an entire team of photographers and videographers, taking awesome pictures and videos of you! We even have several drones flying by, getting aerial shots. - Our more challenging obstacles are built with a BEGINNER side and an ELITE side. Feel free to try either option! -There are spectator trails that your friends and family can take to view you on the course. They can cheer you on, take photos, etc! They are also welcome at the interactive photo stations. -Yo

- What's an OCR without ropes?! . Hint hint... there might be a few ropes obstacles in the 2018 Huff and Puff Race😏 Demonstrated in the video is the "J hook". When climbing ropes this is super important. Jason demonstrates the J Hook with his feet. The rope wraps around the foot, and creates friction. You can tighten it, or loosen it. The J Hook allows you to control your decent. Next race, there will DEFINITELY be ropes. Remember this, and practice! This will help in other races as well! Who knows when you're going to need to climb a rope! Shoutout to @erieshorecrossfit for being the dopest gym around, and having seriously awesome people!
